Randomly, in trying to find out more information on the vaccinations that are recommended for travelling through South America, I stumbled across a website about a guy and two of his mates who rode up from the south and ended up making a boat that was powered by their KLR’s to get around the Darien Gap.
Awesome story – both the crossing of the gap and the subsequent ride up to Deadhorse (Prudhoe Bay). They made a DVD of their adventures crossing the gap called ‘Four Strokes Of Luck’ which I ordered last night and the ride report is on ADV Rider. The adventure is a little out there at times, but the ride report and the video are really entertaining and well worth checking out.
